I received a call today asking for my sister in law- who lives 300 miles away. I gave them no information- except that she was my SIL and lived hours away. They would not tell me why they were calling. They wanted contact info for her. I refused unless they told me WHY they wanted this information. They would not, so I did not and we hung up.
I have them calling me for people I don't know, I do not have and account with capitol one... And with calls like this I never will.. they call a few times a day. Today Sat-Oct 17 2009 I told to stop and I asked them how they got my number because it's unlisted. They said they would remove it... I don't beleive a word they say. They need to tougher laws to protect people from them... Oh thats right the government is in bed with them. This is a crime. And the Government knows it and they need to stop it.
Here’s the company that constantly called my home looking for a person that never lived here. They called 4 times in an hour after I told them they had the wrong number. This constitutes “harassment.” NCO failed to do their due diligence to gather the correct information. NCO violated the law by refusing to connect me with supervisors upon my request.
When will our politicians and government officials act to protect Americans from this scum?

This number came in as NCO 240-210-7142. The 'boy' I spoke with kept asking for a Debra McCoy. I am not her. I may be a Debra but not this one. He sounded like he was in a broiler room setting and it was hard to understand him. Was I nice to him - no not really. I was civil, with him, thats all. Clearly I showed irritation as I told him to stop calling me and to update his database. I said he was either lied to or was using an old database. He then asked me how long I had had my phone #. I answered, 8 years! Plus, I kept asking what company he was with - he never could answer me.
If I knew of a way to stop these SCUM I would act on it. Capital one are SCUM. and guess what - I DON'T OWN ANY C.C.!!!!! (I'm debt free including the house).
I just refuse to answer... they can leave a message and they don't seem to have the guts to do that... as for me... I am debt free even my house and car. I don't own any credit cards
