I just called them back and asked if this is their address. The lady confirmed. I asked to be removed from their list and told her that I will have to pay them a visit if I ever get another call. You won't believe how polite she was and assured me that my number will be removed.
Just called me. Nobody there, so I hung up. Added it to my 'blocked caller' contact list entitled 'Stupid Telemarketers'
The robocalling laws are changing in a few days, so I assume this is going to ramp up for a little bit and hopefully taper off dramatically, particularly on mobile phone numbers.
Remember, these laws are only as good as those who lawfully follow them. Many of these companies are scammers and as such, I doubt they'd follow FCC regulations in regards to Do not call Lists and so forth. That's why I don't generally answer them. They're usually spoofed from overseas to a number local to the states (Many VOIP companies allow you to make your number local to anywhere, and since they're web based, there's little that anyone can do) A moving, or moved target. So if you get them after the 16th, you can probably be assured that the call is the least of their questionable activity.
Got a call today. It's an area code I know so I picked it up only to hear lots of static and nothing else. Said Hello a few times and hung up.
Help me understand this, the government can intercept and trace a call originating from a cave in one of the "stans, but is completely at loss with these spamming scammers? Seriously???
GE INTEG, they refuse to take me off the call list. I had a heated conversation with the call center employee that hung up on me, she would not let me talk with supervisor. I called back and she pretended to be another person. The second woman said her name was Sarah, the supervisors name is Ron. Good luck with this company.
