Calls will never stop. Do not call lists are complete garbage. So, we each have to take actions that will best suit us. For me it has been a free app named CallFilter that I use and recently put to work in concert with my Verizon blocking. You just have to be vigilant because of the crooks' ability to spoof numbers, they will get through once. You then must not answer unless you made a prior arrangement and immediately add the number to block list. I have all my landline calls forwarded. If I was not home I would not have known BURKE tried to call a few minutes ago, as home phone rang for fraction of second. Only knew because I searched. This is how I deal with, the calls.
Got repeated calls from "Burke". Finally answered and was surprised to have someone on the other end without delay. Burke does surveys for the banking industry and as such is exempt from the no call laws. I refused the survey, as I do with all surveys, and politely asked to be removed from all of their lists and be listed as "do not call". The person on the other end was very polite and said they would do so.
Burke Inc. http://www.bbb.org/cincinnati/business-review ... ati-oh-2000040/ Burke needs to wake up and establish an OPT-OUT program and enforcement of requests to be placed on their internal do-not-call list.
