I actually had the same problem, I was so out of it that I confirmed the zip code. I've cancelled my card, but I was hoping you could tell me how you dealt with the problem, since your post was made about a year ago I thought you might be able to help.
I have had the same experience- they will not stop calling my phone to send me "free gas cards." They have called 7 times in the last 24 hours. As you have stated, they have my address and the last 4 of my Visa bank card. They said I need to pay $2.99? S/H to receive $120 worth of free gas cards... This is ridiculous.
just got the same...told her actually THAT particular Visa was turned in for identity theft, and I am very suspicious of this phone call, and in no way do I want ANYTHING sent in the mail to me. She hung up pretty quickly. Strangely enough I received another call from "Bank of America" also for insurance, pretty much replied the same way. UNBELIEVABLE!!!
This number came up as a missed call but i didn't recognize it so i googled it and this came up! My debit card was used in a purchase i didn't make and there is a police report about it and now i wonder if it may have been these people!!! Very Scary! My card was cancelled and i am getting a new one but it scares me that these people are getting our info.
i've started recieving calls from this number yesterday and have received 8 so far. I do not answer as i do not recognize the number and no messages are ever left.
i have received 3 phone calls today so far, stating i have made inquires about credit card debt? I will not answer them again, and sick of my cell minutes being used by scammers or telemarketers.
