I actually had the same problem, I was so out of it that I confirmed the zip code. I've cancelled my card, but I was hoping you could tell me how you dealt with the problem, since your post was made about a year ago I thought you might be able to help.
This company called me this afternoon and told me they were from Vista and that I was entitled to
$120.00 in Gas Cards. This was due to me because of my recent purchase on my Master Card.
I asked what his address was and a different phone #, he would not give me any information, just wanted
to verify my home address etc. I hung up on him and this is nothing but a scam.
Got a call from these people almost every hour on the dot. they told me all that bull about sending me free gas rebates and everything. once he told me that i was a preferered customer after my recent purchase i was a little suspicious. he then told me they were sending this crap in the mail and he recited my adress to me . i told him the adress was wrong and then hung up. immediatlely after that i called my bank and cancelled every single card i had just to keep theses [***] from stealing my info and this is actually the 3rd or 4th time have had these kind of phishing calls. i really hate the modern day of tech and theft
Just received a phone call on my cell phone. Of course being at work I did not answer it. I called the number back from my work phone and was only able to find out from a recording that is was "ONLY" a courtesy call. Then the recorded message gave me options to choose from that included everything expect a how to get to a body to find out why they called me and how they got my cell phone number.
Apparently I placed an order for something. For what I have no idea.
