Got call from this number. It was a recording stating someone matching my phone number had written a bad check and they were about to turn it over for legal collections. I DON'T write checks..........
Got the same call numerous times from this number, ID says Arbitration or something else stating someone from this phone number has written a bad check. Never happened, besides I have overdraft checking so it WOULD NEVER HAPPEN. SCAM
I got a call from them today. When I called them back to tell them that they had the wrong person they started going on about having access to FBI and CIA databases. When I asked to contact the database administrators they began telling a long winded story about how it can only be accessed by email and there is no contact information. When I stated that it sounded suspicious they called me crazy and told me to go jump out of a window and kill myself before hanging up. I called them back to speak to a manager and they refused to allow me to speak to one. They then threatened to call the police in my state and have me arrested for terroristic threatening. When I reminded them that I had not made any threats they told me that they would say I did anyways and the police wouldn't believe me because I was just some crazy person. They then continued to tell me again to do the world a favor and jump out of a window and kiss the asphalt before hanging up on me. I reported them and I am trying to warn others that they are not kind people and most likely a scam.
I called the one company that I owed money to. They told me they did not turn me over to this company. I called Wahlberg and told them never to call me again and if it was legit, to write. Then I read all of this. I believe as you people say, this is a huge scam.
Received a call stating that I owed X amount of money to a bank due to a bad check I wrote. If i did not provide them with my financial information to make installment payments for the amount owed, I would have law enforcement officers arrive at my place of employment and arrest me. Name given was Flores Vargas with a telephone # of 281-374-4489. She quickly mentioned the name of the bank, which could not be heard clearly and proceeded to give me an acct #. Received this call yesterday and not surprised to see others are experincing the same conduct.
Called both my phones simultaneously with the same message that someone at this number had written a bed check and we need to call them back or matter will be forwarded to law enforcement.
