Got call from this number. It was a recording stating someone matching my phone number had written a bad check and they were about to turn it over for legal collections. I DON'T write checks..........
" I have a felony for Depository Check Fraud & the transaction was over 500.00" There is no such charge. but if you really believe I am wrong, simply tell me the state and law you were charged under. It is after all on your paperwork. You are saying a debt collector called you, but you were charged criminally? How could that be since the only people that could do that would be the DA, a Judge, or the Police. "Dont be an idiot like me & believe everything that is on the internet." Next time they call, answer 'FBI, Timbucktu Office, how may I direct your call?' and watch how fast they hang up. Don't let them screw with you....have fun and screw with them. It is a scam. Call them back and pretend to be them. Or when they call, just sit there and laugh your [***] off at everything they say. They will eventually get sick of your idiotism and stop calling. (I also start talking in what appears to be a foreign language when they call, but is actually just a bunch of jibberish...then I say in clear English, "For ON-MY-KNEEs, please press one. For English, please hang up."---they hate that one big time...but it is funny as hell. Finally, act like you are an answering machine....make a beep sound, let them leave a message, then at the end of their message, tell them to go to hell, burp, fart, or blow your nose.
