I get a call from this number every day asking me to call them back. I call them back and they tell me that I owe a debt of $19.00 to Hollywood video. I explain to them that I absolutely have no bad debt with Hollywood video but they insist that I do. I tell them to stop calling but they call anyway and I am really tired of them calling and harassing me. I am willing to pursue a class action if necessary. Help.
I have received a call from this same company the last week or so. After reading this website, I now know who it is and what they want. They are calling me because they say I owe like $20 for an old Hollywood Video account. Hollywood Video has been closed in my area for at least 5 years now. I explained to them previously that I do not agree with this charge they said I owe. I researched it some more, and saw an article online, that because Hollywood Video went bankrupt, these companies can aquire those "debts" and try to collect them. I keep receiving calls from the above number, when I called back the number was no longer in service? All my bills are current and I don't know why they keep calling me.
