My mother-in-law got this phone call on Tuesday, December 8,2015. She is older and doesn't understand all the scams going on. Luckily she called me first and I told her to ignore phone call as we have gotten several calls similar to this one. Too bad the government can't do more about this! Thanks for the previous posts. This just assured me that this was a scam.
My mom (92 years old) also got this call at her number two days ago and today Dec 10th my husband and I got the same call on our home phone number. This is a scam. This has happened to us both before.
I agree with Gayle , above. The federal government does not announce its intention to file any type of lawsuit with a robo call.
I am not fooled by this type of scam as I am a judicial officer and my husband is a law enforcement officer and we know it IS a scam. However my elderly mom was very upset all morning until she could talk to me by the message which was left on her answering machine at 6 am.
They just keep calling me and leaving number. I have not called back but did report to the US Treasury on their website. How is it the Govt cannot stop this harassment?
