Just because they use the name cdc doesn't mean it's the center for disease control.
I'm guessing it has something to do with collections. A collection agency.
"I Bing'ed the number on my caller id and got several hits that said it was the "forcs study" doing research on social media.
I'm guessing their survey would ask you questions about social media that would help the further identify any other email addresses or phone numbers you have.
I have received 2-3 phone calls per day. They left a msg the first time stating they are the CDC. I did not answer after that. One of my hispanic students asked if she could call so I dialed the # back. The machine answered and they identified themselves as the Center for Disease Control and we waited for a rep. After my student spoke to the rep in Spanish, they finally said they would have someone call back who speaks Spanish. If they keep calling, I think I will call back every time with the help of my hispanic friends. I suppose I could answer with "Hola" if they call back. :-)
I blocked them several times but didn't work. One day it showed as a private number. Their caller ID is a fake number because idiots at Time Warner couldn't do anything about it. Telemarketer is a bunch of low life who disturbing people's peace.
