I received an unidentified call and wished that I hadn't picked up. The caller said he was raising funds for the Montgomery County Career Firefighters Association. He ask that I write a check to them, leave it in my front door, and someone would come by to pick it up tomorrow. I called my local police to see if anyone was registered to come into our neighborhood to collect money. They gave me the non-emergency phone number of the Montgomery County fire department. They said it is a legitament organization, but he didn't know if they were fund raising now. Not much help.
