Got same call today saying I owed a payday loan. Told the man I never had a payday loan and he screamed I was a liar. I told him I was going to report call and number to FBI and he quickly hung up. SCAM!!!
To find out, all you have to do is go down to your local main civil court and check the defendants civil list. If you were the subject of a pending law suit, you'd have heard about it by letter from the attorney for the other side. Then, if a case were filed, you'd also have been served with process by a process server licensed in your area to serve process. You would NOT have first heard about this from some scammery scummery
debt collector who cold calls you and starts threatening you with non-existent law suits. Ignore and block these calls.
SCAM!! These "people" have called my entire family looking for me but never once called my number. I finally get ahold of someone after repeatly calling the number they were calling from and a 888-724-5962 they gave my husband (which both of them say mailbox is FULL) and they said I wrote an electronic check out of a bank account I closed years ago (WHICH I NEVER DID!) that was returned. So 7 years later they are "collecting" the interest, attorney fees, and loan amount (which first they said it was a check!) adding up to over 2k! These people had my bank account number and god knows what else more!! LIES!!! I'm so angry! I want to laugh at how idiotic this seems, but they also stated they have my SSN!
