I received a call yesterday asking for my son in law. Stating theirs a civil matter they're trying to resolve. One, this is not even his number. Two, if it was an actual civil lawsuit I'm sure he would receive a certified letter. Scam?
I keep receiving the same call from this number as well. it varies and it always comes from similar numbers, but not always the same. I get the same message from this number as well as 619-369-0667. 619-369-0668. 619-369-0665, 619-369-0669, etc. You block one and they call from another. it's never ending. I reported them through the FTC website and the Do Not Call Registry complaint link if you are on the Do Not Call Registry: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
They keep saying "This is the last attempt" (which it never is because they have been leaving that same message over the span of a year and they say "there has been a complaint against you and we will show up at your house or work". Like everyone else here said - this is not how it works. THIS IS A SCAM!!
They also never leave a company name and only leave a number to call back.
These people keep calling, i have no clue as to what this is about. They actually called my husband's # and I have no clue how they got it! They stated it was a personal legal matter... I've had this call b4 about a freaking payday loan I have NO CLUE ABOUT!
These people have called me once a day for the last 2 weeks but honestly every time I answer the phone they hang up , sometimes whn they call it's rings like once or twice on my end, oh and I got a voice call from at one time who sounded like a bunch of men in the background talking and I tried to call back to tell them to quit contacting me and it said that the phone number that I called had not had a mailbox set up so my guess it's a call app with a fake #.
