I received a call from a accented man who claimed he was from Microsoft and my computer had been hacked and was involved in illegal activities. Two hours later, a Technician
called and said he was going to fix my computer problem. I hung up.
I also was given this number and it was an Indian sounding person who claimed to be from Microsoft, he said my computer had been hacked and he was calling to help me.His number did not show up on my caller id. He gave me a number to call him back and verify that he was who he said he was. When I called back it sounded like he answered, with a different name.I refused to talk to him anymore. does any one out there know if this is indeed microsoft?\
I got the call today... said his name was "Paul Smith" in a heavy India accent, lol!! said his ID # is 6004 from Microsoft,,, he was going to help me so my information does not get hacked out of my computer. I didn't stay on long enough for him to ask for my bank acct. and access my computer remote.
I received a phone call on my cell from 878-286-0398 from an Indian speaking person stating that some one was hacking into my computer laptop with Windows 7 on it and could I open my laptop to prevent hacking. I asked for a number to phone them back and was given 302-482-8155 and the name Kevin Johnson. They are to call me back in an hour.
