I received a call from a accented man who claimed he was from Microsoft and my computer had been hacked and was involved in illegal activities. Two hours later, a Technician
called and said he was going to fix my computer problem. I hung up.
I got a call today, and when I questioned that Microsoft calling me without identifying on phone, Indian sounding
caller called me a [***].
Then I asked to talk to his supervisor and identified himself as Tom Cruise.
He wanted me to grant access to my computer.
He has called back 4 times from phone # 661-7480240 in California.
Hope no one falls into this scam.
I received this call from Kevin unfortunately I pad 199.00 for the program told me I was hatched he was from Microsoft , I feel like a idiot he has downloaded the programs into my computer ,now after reading this I am freaking out going to best buy for advise
I got a call from 302-482-8155 saying my computer had been hacked and he was from Microsoft and wanted to me to turn on my computer and follow his instructions to stop the hacker. I refused to do it until I checked out the call with Microsoft. He gave me his name, Victor Grahem, station # 1078, with Online Technical Support with Microsoft, www.support1000.com, and said I could call this number back and verify that it was a legitimate service. I hung up and found the number to be a scam. Please check this phone call scam out!
My family was called by a Victor Graham representing Microsoft at this number starting 9/25 and today 9/26 multiple calls. He was pushing anti hacking software for $299. Today he said he is with support1000.com but still working for Microsoft. He was able to send a file 7.zip and get family to install a remote access program TeamViewerOs_en.exe providing an ID and Password. He had full access to the machine until family unplugged everything. I'm hoping I got it all off the machine.
Same scam = Microsoft Engineer "Tom Parker" ID#1794. Wanted me to pull up my Run Command (Windows Key + R) and type in the website command WWW.U01.... and that's as far as I let him get before I told him he was out of his F#$%^&ing mind if he thought I would really do that. He gave me the credentials that are mentioned above and said he would call back after I verified who he was. He wanted me to call the 302-482-8155 number to verify. Not happening dude!
