Just got a call from the same number. The message I received told me to log onto verizonthankyou.com for a $100 towards my next phone bill. I checked it out and as much as I could tell the page was a mirror image of the actual verizon website. The difference was in the log in menu, which looked similar to Verizon's site, but asked for more info. The links on this fake page seem to send you to the real Verizon page from what I could tell.
Rec'd a recorded message from this scum bag at 10:45 PM (that's at night) for those who don't know PM from AM with the same information as listed by all other people here.
I consider this against all FCC regulations and should be a crime !!! punishable to the highest extent of the law
Got 2 calls from this number yesterday night @ 8:46PM and 8:26PM. Did not answer it since I did not recognize this area code. This is a prepaid phone since I have a 2-yr contract with AT&T for my iPhone but I prefer Verizon which has a better connection and signal. Verizon needs to go after these spammers/scammers.
Got the same phone call. I just do not answer numbers that aren't in my contacts. Later I check them out and if they are spam, I add the number to my contacts...naming it Spam and I set the ringtone to 'no ring'. Works like a charm, short of changing my phone number, I seem to get alot of these annoying calls.
I got a voicemail from this phone number and suspected a phishing scam as I have never gotten a call or text from Verizon originating from an area code like this (Colorado), as well as the smell of Phish that the $100 gift emits. Be careful responding to this crap. Verizon doesn't make money by giving it away.
I got a robocall from them last night at 11:10 p.m.!!! They said to go to yourverizonsummer.com to claim the $100. I knew it was phony, but decided to check out the website just now, and got blasted with about 80 adware.webwise threats that Norton blocked and fixed, and Norton had also blocked the site from loading.
