Just got a call from the same number. The message I received told me to log onto verizonthankyou.com for a $100 towards my next phone bill. I checked it out and as much as I could tell the page was a mirror image of the actual verizon website. The difference was in the log in menu, which looked similar to Verizon's site, but asked for more info. The links on this fake page seem to send you to the real Verizon page from what I could tell.
Myverizon80.com called me from same number 3037313432 telling me about 80 dollars off next bill and the website looked just like verizon wireless home page so I called *611 and the lady at Verizon said its the first she heard of it. Be careful they will get people because it looks legit
Received a voicemail yesterday claiming that I had an $80 credit on my Verizon account and to log in to myverizon80.com to redeem it. When I call the number back, I get a broken up message and then it beeps. When I went to the website provided, Norton stopped me and said it was reported as unsafe and as a website that tries to steal your personal and financial information. I am filing a report with the FTC for fraud.
Yep. I got the same call about an $80 rebate at 6: 19 PM today. Not being stupid, I made a plan to block possible phishing scams in case it was an unknown site, but did not need to as it is a KNOWN phishing site.
Thanks for the idea to keep from replying to it more.
You guys must be Up-Scale // My scammer only offered $80. My BIG question is Why Didn't Verizon jump on these guys as soon as this scam showed up ??????????????????
