Just got a call from the same number. The message I received told me to log onto verizonthankyou.com for a $100 towards my next phone bill. I checked it out and as much as I could tell the page was a mirror image of the actual verizon website. The difference was in the log in menu, which looked similar to Verizon's site, but asked for more info. The links on this fake page seem to send you to the real Verizon page from what I could tell.
i received this call @ 4:16 p.m. today 06/13/2012 and said to call this myverizon100.com and receive $100.00 off toward my next bill ,sounds phishy ,when trying to call the # back it was muffled sounding and couldn't make out the message on the other end
Back again with a recodrded message about receiving a $50 credit on your Verizon bill if you login to myverizon50.com.
If you call back you get a garbled message that starts with "unfortunately, you've reached..." and can't understand the rest.
This is a phishing attack. I was directed to login at myverizon50.com with my Verizon user/password.
The website is not owned by Verizon and is used to harvest login info.
