Just got a call from the same number. The message I received told me to log onto verizonthankyou.com for a $100 towards my next phone bill. I checked it out and as much as I could tell the page was a mirror image of the actual verizon website. The difference was in the log in menu, which looked similar to Verizon's site, but asked for more info. The links on this fake page seem to send you to the real Verizon page from what I could tell.
Got a couple of calls from this number. Google Voice automatically sent them to the Spam folder. Surprised I got multiple calls, the scammers usually get put out of business pretty quickly. These guys must have known who to pay off. ;)
My husband's robo call was for a $60.00 refund from "Verizon". Definitely a scam. I let Verizon know about it. My daughter (different phone line, same account) received the very same robo call about 45 minutes after my husband's.
