The firm that called me was Machol & Johannes, LLC. They said they were a law firm calling about collections. They did not ask for anyone who lives here by name, and upon researching them, none of the people listed on their website of www.mjfirm.com has a Bar number in Colorado where they are based. They "do business" in Colorado, Washington state, Oregon, New Mexico, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah and Oklahoma.
They keep changing the name of the business, so watch out very carefully for them. Names in the business are:
Gronowski, Arianne (Attorney) Johannes, Randall DKaplan, James A.Machol, Jacques A. IIIMachol, Jacques A. Jr.Spencer, Chad (Attorney). Look for any combination of these names on your caller ID.
Received 2 calls so far. The first one I missed, but no voice message was left. The second was received 5 days later, and I actually answered, but all I heard were people talking in the background (as if in a busy office or call center - more likely the latter). Even though I answered, there was no answer on the other end even though I said "hello" 5 times! I hung up shortly after that.
My grandmother got a call at 3:32 yesterday afternoon asking for me. The woman said her name was GL and that she was a friend of mine. When my grandmother asked if she could leave a message she said "No". My grandmother wrote down this number from her caller ID. Funny I don't know any GL and my grandmother just moved this year and it's a new number, but I've never lived there. I have NOT given out her number to anyone and I only have it in my cell phone. I did tell Grandma that IF she calls again to ask what it is she really wants and how did she get the phone number!

Hey Carol, I think your comment is correct, I also got a call from this number and the caller id said "Linebarger Gogg". Collectors for the IRS sounds correct as my x wife owes big time.
