I have purchased a call blocker device and can program 1,200 numbers as well as entire area codes. This number was added to my list and since I know no one in WV, also blocked the area code. Any future calls from either this number or anyone in that area code will be cut off after one lone ring. I also file a complaint with donotcall to let them know there are illegal scammers attempting to sell whatever it is they are hawking. Legitimate sales people check the list before calling anyone, illegals don't care.
Calling any number back only results in their knowing they have reached a live number and either will continue to call or pass on that number to other unscrupulous scammers. I also unplugged my answering machine, most people know my cell and so those privileged people call that number.
