I know someone who works at this company personally, and to say at the least they are the most helpful people it's the person on the other line that's (quote) scumbags (end quote). They are only abiding by the rules given to them. They cannot help if someone is repeatedly giving out your phone number as their own..it's a sad world we live in isn't it?
These people called my old work and my boss emailed me to let me know and give me the number. When I called, she seemed so informal, only saying her name when she answered and not, "Hello, this is....from....." She asked for my name and address, so I gave it to her. When she asked for my social security number, I told her I could NOT give out that information, so she said, "ok thanks bye" and hung up on me! That's someone trying to scam me right there!!!

" hi this is susie, is john there?"
Me," Um, john who?"
Susie, "John Doe."
Me, "Who's calling please?"
Susie, "This is Susie."
Me,"from...?"
Susie,"Is this John Doe, I'm speaking to!"
Me."What is this about?"
Susie, "This is a personal matter, I can only speak with him about this!"
Me, "Listen, you,ve called my phone, where are you calling from?"
Susie, "Okay, Mr. Doe, this call may be recorded..."
And I hung up and logged on to this site. I need to report this to the official channels for complaints. If I legitamitely owe a debt, or even not, they should have to identify which business they represent at the very least! This is harrassment and is probably illegal,
I have received multiple calls from this number over the last year or so. Anytime they leave a message, or anytime I answer, all I hear is a recording asking me to stay on the line for an operator. On the only occasion that I called back, I heard the same recording, and waited on the phone for 20 minutes, only to get hung up on.
They are a debt purchasing company, so if they are calling you they have a reason. I owe a hospital bil;l and Vanguard bought the debt and are now trying to recover it. They want it all but I told them if they don't stop calling each day, Ill give them one dollar a month. I have been paying on it religiously every month but thats not good enough to them. After about 200 calls over a months time, I contacted my lawyer and one phone call to them, my debt was wiped off. They are not on the edge of breaking the law, they are breaking the law. They cannot threaten you, if they do; lawyer up.
Just copy your call history and the fact you told them never to call taking you off the call list..then send al the information to the secretary of states office and to teh state attorney and file a legal complaint..the more of yu that follow those few simple steps the sooner this garbage will cease...along with teh churches, and other unsolicited calls trying to get all your private information and wastee your cell phone minutes.
I do not answer any unknown telephone number that calls...and i report any compnay that calls and asks for anyone that lives here and then refuses to leave a message and says they wil callback...as I am the only one who ansers the phones...they only wil get me and they do not know rude until they start wasting my time...as I push them also to the state officials who are to protect us from this ongoing garbage.
get a new governor
get a new secretary of state
get a new atoreny general
and get all new political representation
stop re eclecting the same old scum
and this will cease...
