It is the "Pay day Loan Scam" that has been around for several years. Just hang up, they can't do anything unless you give them information on the phone. Why bother and waste your time getting upset? I've been getting calls since last December, have told them I know they are a scam but they still keep calling me. I just delete the messages and never answer unknown calls. The calls stopped in May and then this week have started up again.
Update, so I got the call again and told my boss about the scam to put out any fires at work. So I printed your comment Tracie and called the number back and upon getting a person who could barely speak english again, I let them have it. He kept trying to get his 2 cents n & I hit him with the law you you stated, he then wanted to get his supervisor, who sounded just like him, so I told him, i dare u to call me from another number, I will call back with a trace from the police dept so fast, your a$$ will be in a sling. Do u know he hung up on me claimimg they will proceed with charges 2moro. I laughed and told him now put your boss on the fone. So I called bak, get this, I cant even get through. They've blocked my number, I have an unlimited, worldwide plan and I now get, u dont have enuf in your balance to make this call. Ha I can call england, but I cant call a 1866 or 800 number thats supposed to be in the US that i been calling and rguing with for the last 3 days? So I called them from 4 other fones, and everytime wen they realize its me, they block the number. Now i'm harassing their a$$es. lol. Im calling the federal trade commission. I believe we've been hacked by the Chinese! Can u imagine how many ppl have just sent the money no questins asked? Google is suing them right now for this no lie!
John Davis called me. This guy is a chump, I wish I could run into this guy because I would choke him. I have been calling him back and asking him when I'm going to get picked up. HIs e-mail is [email protected].
This guy "Ricky Brown" with a heavy East Indian accent keeps calling my work. I've tried several times to call him back and the line goes dead. He leaves me messages saying I have to call back or legal action will be taken against me.
Umm...how do you call a number back that doesn't allow you call back? And I'm sorry I was raised in a town with nothing but East Indians...They don't have American names. I've been trying to catch this guy on the phone just so I can let him know what I've found out about him and his scam.
I have been documenting how many times he calls and at what times. He's been calling before 8AM and after 9PM.
I challenge everyone out there to call this number and scam the scammer. Confuse the hell out of him.
So I called this number and never say anything. A couple of times I pushed the keys on my number pad just to mess with him. He will call back 6-7 times. Right now I have not let on I know he is a scammer as then he will just block me. (Once they realize you know they are a scam they block your number and you get a busy signal or some random recording) They are so eager to speak with you till you call them on their scam.
He identifies himself as John Davis. I wonder what would happen if 100s of people called him?
If he does not know who you are, he will call you back and leave messages - in the background is so obviously a call center.
I am going to see if I can find a way to get info on his "company".
