It is the "Pay day Loan Scam" that has been around for several years. Just hang up, they can't do anything unless you give them information on the phone. Why bother and waste your time getting upset? I've been getting calls since last December, have told them I know they are a scam but they still keep calling me. I just delete the messages and never answer unknown calls. The calls stopped in May and then this week have started up again.
This is definitely a scam. I called as if I was investigating a complaint with the Justice Department. Advised them the US Code they were violating and tried to get the attorney's name which turns out to be you guessed it John Smith. HAR. I also got the name of the so called company they were a part of that was suing me. He stated they were Pacific Credit Services. I looked up and low and behold the company address is from an Apartment in Memphis TN. Ontating the Memphis Police and giving them all evidence I have on them. Wonder if I will get a call tomorrow.
John Davis, and an Alex, and another name, calling harrassing, claiming fraud charges etc. and lawsuits against me, asking to verify my ss #, telling me if I am on any kind of probation to contact my probation order, claiming to have put monies in my bank account, but could'nt give me a date as to when this occured. Contacted my bank, they are indeed scandalous.
These unscrupulous characters call my cell phone constantly. I ignore their calls and yet they continue to leave messages advising me that I will be brought to jail for ignoring them. Seriously? They cannot even speak English. I struggled to even listen to the message left by the last terrorist. I've been a victim of fraud with these idiots accessing my bank account. I closed the account long ago and no one else has my account information other than my employer for payroll purposes and creditors with whom I deal personally. Please ignore these a**holes everytime they call you. They are scammers to the nth degree and will continue to harass hard working people like you and me because they have nothing better to do. Be aware that these predators continue to roam this earth and will until they are eradicated.
These guys have been leaving voice mails on my cell for 9 months. They keep asking for a person I don't know which is lucky for me because it kept me from falling for the scam. I called them back the first time and they gave me a bunch of crap by cussing at me and my wife, they didn't even tell me any information. Finaly they got down to bussiness and when I explained that I was not who they were looking for they said ok and that they would quit calling. That lasted about a month before the calls started again. I just dealt with them again a week ago and asked for the last 4 digits of the social security number they say they have. It wasn't even close to mine so I know I'm not an identy theft victom and I said "go ahead and sue this person." They again promised they would never call again. I just looked this number up for the first time and found this post. Now I can't wait till that non english speaking SOB calls back.
Caller claimed that I had 3 legal allegations against me including... check fraud, federal banking fraud and one other. Said that I owed money and I paid them $600. I got scared that I would lose all my credit and when I called a lawyer, he told me to call the attorney general and they said, do not send money! I thought it was fishy but how would I know.
