They called and said they were my grandchild who was in jail and needed money to get out. He supposedly traveled to Florida for a funeral and got arrested for a DUI. He said a lawyer would call back with details. A "lawyer" called back a couple minutes later with additional details about the arrest and said he called grandpa because he didn't want to call his mom and dad. We said we needed to call his mom first to make sure. He was home in bed, and calls back to the number went direct to voicemail.
Keep getting calls from that number also. They only let the cell ring a few times. By the time I jump for the telephone they are gone. No message, and cannot return the call.
I Started Getting them Too on my Cellphone! It's a Pain in the BUTT but calls like this always are.Soo what good are the Do Not Call lists that I Pay to be on? Oh well, at least i'm not alone!
This is an independent courier service, apparently. They are trying to deliver something to you. I picked up the phone in time, and that's what the guy said. I don't know, though. It sounds a bit fishy.
