These people called my daughter's home, my ex wife, and who knows who else. They threatened to file suit if I did not return their call within an hour. When asked how they got these phone numbers the said they they were listed as contacts. I told them they were never listed as contacts. They alleged that I owed Verizon money for service 12 years ago and they had punched the debt.
I also received this " civil complaint ". Today 083115 @12:15 pm. They didn't even get my location right. I'm sure they are thugs with little [***] making calls for them. I have had several calls from the 305 area code which is Miami FL. HANG UP!!
I got a call from them and called back to asked them to remove my number. I dId not want my phone ringing at all hours. Yes, they were collecting on someone's debt (my ex-wife's second husband, whom she divorced more than 10 years ago!). Unlike other callers, they were not rude.
I returned the call to a missed call from Florida a woman answered stating this is Ashley Smith. I asked the name of the Company and she would not provide that information. I said hum it's funny you can provide a full name, but can't identify why you are calling my phone. She states they serve legal documents. And needed my phone number so she could tell me who & why they are calling. I informed her no worries I'm 100% positive your not serving me with anything. she said well it could be a family member. I said well then you need to call that family member if that's the case. she then said well you will continue to receive calls. I dared her...... and is seriously waiting on another call from them. I will complain to each and every complaint department necessary.
Just got a similar call from this number. They asked me who can accept legal documents from a person I didn't know. Clearly a scam. What can we do to shut down this practice?
