I just got a call from 305-587-2091. They said that they were calling to lower my interest rate and that they were calling from cardmember services. I asked the guy if he was calling from my visa card services, how come he didnt know what my current interest rate was and he hung up. I called back and got the message that this number is an unattended mailbox and it could not recive any incoming calls>>>SCAMS..
Called today and left the typical message in the voicemail.
I use voip.ms for phone service and they have a handy CallerID filtering that can handle incoming calls from certain numbers or names in any manner I choose.
For spammers, I have it play this recording back to them. :)
Muahahaha.... Though the "do DO DOO" tone in the beginning should trigger their system to drop the number as unavailable and no one may ever hear the recording anyway, I still get joy from doing it.
These calls seem to be increasing, 4 within the last 3 days. All with the same message about lowering credit card interest rates but all have different caller ID numbers. I have been receiving these calls for in excess of 5 years. You ask them to stop calling and they just hang up. I always file a complaint with the do not call registry but that is a waste of time. Called this particular number back this morning and was given the opportunity to remove my number from their registry. I get the impression that it is from this number only, not any others. THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT PROVIDE THESE PERVERTS WITH ANY INFO. I am now keeping a record of the calls and will be sending a complaint to the FCC.
