I just got a call from 305-587-2091. They said that they were calling to lower my interest rate and that they were calling from cardmember services. I asked the guy if he was calling from my visa card services, how come he didnt know what my current interest rate was and he hung up. I called back and got the message that this number is an unattended mailbox and it could not recive any incoming calls>>>SCAMS..
My home phone number is a cell phone, and I have caller id. Just in case, I add "telemarketer" to my address book just to be sure I don't answer any of these calls. I find that reporting these calls to the attorney general's office does no good at all!
If you have a smart phone you can download a free app that will blacklist up to 100 phone numbers. Ive gotten similar calls from several different phone numbers, because everytime I block one number they call from a similar number. The app is called "Mobile Manager". These people are such a pain, and ignorant
Yet another robocall from Rachel at Cardholder Services claiming that they can lower my credit card interest rates to 6.9% and that this is my final notice. IF ONLY IT WERE!!!
Speaking with these people does no good. They will only hang up on you. Some will even curse at you profusely before hanging up. All I can do is add this number to my phone's address book under SCAM and report the illegal telemarketing call to www.donotcall.gov.
Another scam. You would have to be absolutely stupid to fall for this. No credit card company that you have a card for would ever call their card holders to offer a lower interest rate. It is the card holder that would have to call in and try and negotiate a lower rate and if you're lucky and they agree then you have yourself a lower rate (hopefully a fixed rate).
