I just got a call from 305-587-2091. They said that they were calling to lower my interest rate and that they were calling from cardmember services. I asked the guy if he was calling from my visa card services, how come he didnt know what my current interest rate was and he hung up. I called back and got the message that this number is an unattended mailbox and it could not recive any incoming calls>>>SCAMS..
This number called at 4:47 pm. A call back to the number got a recorded message that told me it was a telemarketer. I am on the do not call list so I immediately went to donotcall.gov and reported the phone number. If every one would do this if you are on the do not call list we might be able to stop these calls
Let's send SEAL team 6 after these people. It is impossible to block the number, they just call from a different one. I am on do not call list for both home and cell and get calls from these people on both. Caller id said "lower interest" I let the answering machine pick up so I only got part of the message. It said press 3 to be taken off their list but that never seems to work, you just get disconnected.
WRONG! If the call is illegal at the outset, it is always illegal, unless you give explicit express permission to be harassed again. Presssing "1" is not giving express permission - this is so because the robot does not state its actual company name and actual telephone number. As well, answering questions in order LEARN the identity of the caller does NOT constitute consent. See Margulis v. P & M Consulting, Inc., 121 S.W.3d 246 (2004 Mo. App.).
This is what I do....
I ask for their name, Company, then tell then this is being recorded and if they dont remove my number, they will be personnaly included in a harrassment law suit...
It works!..
