Received a call about owning money, which I did not borrow. Ask for documentation and did not receive any. Threatened and harrass my family member about jail. Called my job. I plan to report the calls to the local Federal Trade Commission, police dept. and FBI.
I also have calls from these people and they say i have 3 charges and they will come pick me up. What do we do about these people em me @ [email protected]
Got a couple of calls at work from a woman named Michelle that says she is from Knight Law Firm. She obviously is foreign, I could barely understand her. Same threats as others have gotten - either get this taken care of or have your attorney of record contact us. Have been getting lots of these calls from "Americans" who you can barely understand because of them being very Indian.
today i received 2 calls and yesterday i received 2 calls....last week it was 2 calls total.....they claimed they already had my info needed. and yes threatened charges if i not comply with their request....i just hung up the phone as the dept of justice said... i did change all my accounts with the bank and notified the credit bureaus as well as changed all my credit accounts... furthermore,,, i placed passwords on all my accounts and recommend the same for everyone to protect your identity....
I just got a call from someone from "law office" and they said someone named Alysia Miller(I have no idea who this is) put my name and number down as a reference for her criminal charges and that if I don't respond I'll be facing consequences as well. They told me to call the number back so I did...I said I didn't know Alysia Miller at all and I don't know why she would have my full name and number. They just laughed and said I won't be getting calls from them anymore. My identity can't be stolen with just my name and number right?
