I responded to one of these scams last year... They had called my work and talked to my boss. I really got scared. But then I realized that the law doesn't call and threaten you that they will serve you papers they just come to your house and serve you papers. When I cancelled my debit card after I had paid most of the debt off. Then I investigated the scam.... a different lady called me and said my debit card wouldn't go through.. I said I am soooo sorry I have been scammed. She said oh.... I said yes by you! She said this is not a scam I told you, that you would have to pay the original amount (like 2000) bucks or settle for 800.. and the payments you have made do not count. I told her to kiss my butt and they would to count because I have them on my account...... By law these 'fake lawyers' can't tell your employer anything about any debts. I have had it with these people. I started have my calls forwarded to my lawyer. When they answer and tell them they are my lawyer the scammers hang up. The other day I had a call from an unknown number telling me that she was a process server and had papers when I got very defensive asking what is this in regards to she said she doesn't know she just serves the papers. It has been a week and no papers. then this number called and he calls your references that you have used also. I haven't called them back. But when I do answer and talk to them they will be shaking!
I recieved a phone call from 305-760-4530 stating that I had crimanal charges pending for some outstanding debt. They just said that they are calling from Knight Law and would not tell me who the debt was owed to or for what amount. I informed them that if in deed this was legit to send me legal paper work to my address and they hung up. This is a scam as I know that I do not have any outstanding payday loans.
Been though collections before. They have to send you a letter informing you of the debt and the exact amount. Collectiors will send a summons to appear in court. They will not come and arrest you! It is illegal to threaten arrest unless it is legal to do so. And for that to be legal a judgement from a court of law is needed. I got a call from 305-760-4530 from some foreigner from a call center saying my husband will be arrested if I don't pay tonight. When I called the number it was dead as was the number they called from 556-321-2108 was not in service anymore. These are rented numbers from a holding company a legit law firm would have their own number.
You are a working for these criminals also because it is a big scam and you can't even speak, spell or think for yourself. Go back to the hole wherever you came from and stay and rot.
I just called from the same number they said they were from Kalvin Jones Law Firm. This is obviously a scam. He had a really thick accent. Are any of you T-Mobile customers?
