My boyfriend called Time Warner and they said the account was not in collections. This caller claimed that it was and that they were a collection agency. They were very shady.
They call me repeatedly over $51. I closed my account less than 3 weeks ago and they are already calling me. I have zero equipment, just owe them some "late fees". we only cancelled service cause we moved out of their service area. They were very rude and tried to triple bill me for being "late" on my final bill. Now they call all ours of the day from various numbers if they cant get ahold of me through this 307 number. Here in my state they arent permitted to call me more than once every 24 hours. I have since blocked every number they call from because I will not speak to someone who chooses to talk to me in such a manner on the phone.
Calls my business from various numbers including this one. A recording, "Your buisiness number has been flagged....". Have no idea what this scam is. I promptly block each of the different numbers as soon as I hang up the phone.
I have repeatedly pressed "2" yet I still get daily calls from this company. Call display reads Wyoming, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Arizona - and many other States; it's always the same message recording and selecting "2" seems to only ensure that I will get another call the next day from another State.
Today I selected "1" and asked them why they were calling. Apparently its to verify our location on a map listing. The agent explained that when a search is done for services we provide for our area and we DO NOT come up in one of the "4 major search engines" it "flags" our listing. WHAT???? We didn't come up in the results and they got a notification? Are you #@$%-ing kidding me? That logic means when someone searches for cheeseburgers and Starbucks does not come up then they need to verify their location? WTF? Its a scam of some sort. I never did find out as the agent hung up on me. We'll see if they call again - I certainly expect so.
