I just received the same call...stating the same thing about the IRS. I think Nicki Johnson. SCAM I am sure! The voice was computer generated and robotic.
This is a scam I called the guy back and told him I wasn't an idiot and I knew it was a scam he just laughed until I told him I was reporting him to the police! What a loser!
Called twice today, left a message the 2nd time... on a Saturday none the less. Said it was the IRS, I knew it was a joke because they don't work on Saturdays.
I received a call from (310) 579-2813, coming from Malibu CA, on Monday, 22 June 2015, at approximately 9:24 a.m. (Central), stating, in a robotic voice: "The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My office Nicky Johnson from internal revenue service and the hotline to my division is 310-579-2813 I repeat it's 310-579-2813 DO NOT disregard this message and do return the call before we take any action against you goodbye and take care."
Got a call asking me to have my attorney or for me to respond -- legal action pending from IRS etc. etc. etc.
Caller identified self as "Office Nikki Johnson from the IRS" later in the day got a call back urging me to
respond and "have a good day!" I was to respond to 310-579-2813 IMMEDIATELY --- LOL -- they have called
before with similar message. Guess I will go to jail as I failed to respond and send these crooks any money.
