Called me at 8:50am on 12/27/14. I didn't answer because I don't talk to anyone in my family who has a 310 area code. Then I received this message :
"3108218963 is a landline #. Reply Y to send all TXT messages to this # as voice messages for 0.25/msg. + std msg fee. Details @ vtext.com, TexttoLandline"
Then one minute later I received a text saying: "I'm at the movie theater."
Credit Scam.
An automated call advising users that they have been selected to lower their credit card interest rate. User can either press key to speak with an agent, or 2 to stop receiving these notifications.
Problem is that they never specify the Bank or the card. Just Visa (or Mastercard) which most of the general public has. Once you start speaking with the live person, they want all your personal identity information.
BEWARE! this has all the tell-tale signs of a indentity theft scam.
