Had a friend whose computer was being accessed remotely. He set up a program which they inadvertently downloaded which ERASED THEIR HARD DRIVE. Heavens, I wish I could program like that!
Just received a call from Krumrie Erich at 312-421-0154. Difficult to understand female with Indian accent. Stated she was calling from Windows ---not Microsoft, which is definitely weird---and that my PC was sending errors and that I have a virus. She wanted to access PC to fix it. I hung up. Definitely a scam.
Just received the same call from the same moron. Same caller ID. I told him I was aware it was a B.S. phishing scam and told him to not call back and hung up.
I'm sure I'll get another (many more) calls from the same moron with the heavy middle eastern accent. I'm pretty sure his name isn't Erich. Just sayin'. Hahbib, perhaps, but not Erich.
