I get calls from this number and ignore them.
Have entered the name "DO NOT ANSWER!" in my cellphone, which takes calls switched from my home phone.
Another tactic when I am called from a solicitor.
I play the role of stalker and ask, "What are you wearing?"
If they describe innocuous outer clothing, "No. I meant what are you wearing under that?"
One woman told me I couldn't talk to her like that but I reminded her that she had called ME.
Just act real friendly and swarmy and see if you can get under their skin.
The do not call list is observed only by legitimate businesses. For those without caller ID, if there are any, you have my symmpathy. If you must answer and you don't want to hear or participate hang up immediately.
Got a got call. Dead air. I always wondered why. Always seemed kind of insulting. I found out the the auto-dialers can predict if there is human on the other line - yup the auto-dialer starts listening as soon as it calls...records how many times phone rings...also the metrics in/of your hello to figure out if you are human. If yes - you get a nice agent to talk to. Yea! F-me.
