Just got a call from that same number, the guy said it was a survey about mass transit in my borough of ny, told him i don't take mass transit, then ask questions about people in the home, i said too many & refused any questions, took more that 5 minutes
The caller immediately identified himself as calling from Pew Reseach and that the survey would only take 1 min. The call came on 6/4/13 around 8:30 PM. It began with asking me how I liked my community, how many residents in my home, my level of education, what racial group I belong to (white) and then I was asked if I was raised Jewish or did I have a Jewish parent. These questions about Jewishness continued regarding all the residents in my home. I was shocked and wondering what ethnic group or race he would ask me about next, wondering where he was going with this. Suddenly he asked about how many cell phones we had and that was the end of the survey. I am not comfortable with this survey and will report this to Pew Research tomorrow to follow up.
