Just got a call from that same number, the guy said it was a survey about mass transit in my borough of ny, told him i don't take mass transit, then ask questions about people in the home, i said too many & refused any questions, took more that 5 minutes
They call me about once every 2 weeks. I'm on the do not call list so how do they get away with this? They never leave a message and I never answer so why would they continue calling? It doesn't seem legit to me but as long as they don't show up at my door no one will get hurt.
I was tired of these calls and picked up the phone. It said it was from Chicago and because I answered she QUICKLY went into her spiel about Los Angeles County Emergency Preparedness. I asked why she was doing a survey from Chicago about Los Angeles County and she said the company routes around thru Chicago. (whatever that means) I told her she is disturbing my sick husband who sleeps 10-12 hours a day and she said she would fix this. I PLEADED with her to stop the calls that I was on the DO NOT CALL list and she said she was exempt because she isn't trying to sell me anything. SO SO FRUSTRATING......
Caller claimed to be from the NJ department of health or something, I asked why the number came up from Illinois and was told that it was a survey on their behalf. Call ended.
