Caller ID showed OHIO CALL. Didn't leave message. I think this number is "spoofed" I've received several phone calls w/n message left Caller ID may or may not show CUSTOMER RELAT.. a bogus phone number or my phone number! No message but background noise suggests the caller is outside or internet static; recording lasts for 8-13 seconds b4 disconnect.
I'm sorry, but how does saying they live in the Pacific Northwest (or on the moon for that matter) have anything to do with you? Guess what? Who cares that Citibank has numbers originating from all 50 states and other countries - and that they're just one company! Just because they wanted to give their location doesn't give you the right delegitimize their post. What a deek.
Lomotil, Some people in these states can file a class action action lawsuit. Inter state harassment, States that doesn't allow robo calls, and so on. Very few companies used the DNC list to harass. If enough people file in a specific area or state, then there can be a class action lawsuit filed.
It sounds to me you question everything. Go back to your hole, get a digital phone and block the number. Matter of fact block all number except for the ones that matter to you. And Yes, you can do that if you have the right plan.
Enjoy the info everyone. Contact your Telco for more info if you have digital phone service. If you have an access line, then use the FTC for your complaints. To be clear, digital phone is not covered by the FTC only standard telephone service/access line. I hope this changes soon but then again I do not want that to happen. That is a whole other can of worms to open here now.
Another unsolicited call from an unknown caller. Message ID came up as 'Member Services'. I ignored the call; I use a voice message system to identify callers and let it go to voice mail. If it IS a legitimate call, they will leave a message. On this occasion no message was left. I am on the 'Do Not Call' list for solicitations, but still receive such calls anyway.
"member services" on the caller ID as well. Just another in a long list of spoofed numbers. These scammers are in cahoots with the phone companies, and will never stop until the phone companies start loosing money from this practice.
