Randomly started receiving one call per day, then two every morning, then call after call after call every single day. Tried to call them back, but they were too busy for my call. It appears it IS a collections agency for Dish Network, which it great for me, because I'VE NEVER HAD DISH NETWORK. Looks like someone is using my phone number for their bad credit issues - this should be fun to try to convince CBE of! [***] better stop calling my number; 5+ calls per day is harassment, especially when it's NOT FOR ME!
I was sitting in class and it was at like 8:00 in the morning and my phone started ringing. no on ever call me so i was like what the f***? and the just tried to call back and i answered it cause my teacher was out of the room and i told them to call me back at like 3:00. Thats when i get out of school. so when they call back i will have time to find out who in the hell it is!!!!!
VERY VERY RUDE! i left dish network a month ago and called and asked them what to do with the equipment they said they would send a box, one never came. i called several more times for one and nothing so finally i said forget it if they want it, they will send me the box. then this number starts calling 5x a day ON MY WORK LINE. i called it back and said THIS IS A WORK LINE YOU NEED TO STOP CALLING he refused to listen and just kept saying who he was looking for i said i dont care who you are looking for this is a business line you need to stop calling immediately he started to yell very loud and rude saying he didnt care what the line was used for he was going to continue to call it(when they do call, they hang up when i answer!) i siad how do i make you stop calling my work line, he said then just tell me its the wrong number i said fine its the wrong d*** number he said YOUR A LIAR AND YOUR GONNA SWEAR ON A BUSINESS LINE? i said hell yea i am your rude and annoying now stop calling and hung up. we will see.
I got a call in the morning about every other day, saying tehy were looking for some lady whom I have no idea who it is, each day at exactly 8:00 AM they would call, say "we are looking for so and so, if this is not you, please hang up" I hung up each time and they always called back. Finally I called the number back at 8:06 AM on a Thursday and a lady answered, I explained it and she was very nice, she asked if I knew the lady they had been asking for and I said "never heard of her in my life" she kindly removed my number from the list, just call them back and nicely explain what is happening, the CBE group rep. will help you. Interesting that this call is illegal, yet if you go to the phone company & ask for the info on the caller, they tell you it is against the law to give you that information.

Make your letter simple, firm AND polite. State that you are logging the harassing calls. State in the letter that it is being sent certified, return receipt AND include the receipt number in the letter. State that if the calls do not cease immediately upon receipt of this letter you will turn over the information, including proof of this letter, to the Indiana State Attorney's office.
The key here is creating a paper trail that has legal standing and making sure they know you are doing that. Keep copies of written correspondence.
