Just got a call. It was quite clear this is a scam. There is not law firm called American Law and it sounded like a call center in India. I have filed this number with the FCC and block it wilth my service provider. I sugguest you do the same. They will keep calling for awhile if you do not act. You know when you owe people money. If you know you paid your payday loan and the company you got it from is not calling you then stop taking these calls. IT IS A SCAM! DO NOT SEND THEM $$

These goddamn people. I cant wait to talk to them again. Talked to them about a year ago and screamed at them. They called my gf a few months ago talked to them again they threatened me if i dont pay ill go to jail and i told them to go ahead. Dont give them any info.
Call the police it's a scam and if they call morw than 10x/day and speak of sexual things etc that is harrassment!! As far as how they got your number: have you applied for a loan of any kind online? Signed up for info about loans? I keep getting calls on my cell phone but I just pick up and hang up.
I just got called by them about the same thing. It is a SCAM, I have never gotten a payday loan. The guy barely spoke English and had my social security number off by a few digits. They knew my bank and address.
I called my local Police to let them know about it. The officer laughed when he heard that I was told that an officer would show up at my door and I had to pay him or I would be taken to jail. He agreed that it was definitely a scam and to report it to the FCC.
