I am having the same problem as everyone else. I pushed #1 and asked to be removed and they guy tried to sell to me. He wouldn't tell me who owns the company although he did tell me the name of the company. This is a daily phone call that I don't want and I hope some organization somewhere can shut them off
Here's the number for the Attorney General 1-866-966-7226. I'm calling tomorrow. I'm also calling the Consumer Protection Agency at 1-877-382-4357 and the Federal Trade Commission at 1-877-FTC-HELP. If we all call maybe we can put a stop to these crooks.
Been getting t/c's from Energy Awareness Organization and the 321-961-6619 is just one of the numbers being used. Just got off the phone with the state consumer agency who told me to file a written complaint on their web site. She admitted receiving a lot of complaints about this organization BUT they are using disposable cell phones and cannot be traced. My suggestion, file the complaint and also notify local news for assistance.
Just got done filing a complaint with the FTC at 1-877-382-4357 and the lady I spoke advised me to get as many peoplemto also call and file a complaint as possible. It only took a couple of minutes to do. She also told me to contact my phone provider to see if they can help so I will be doing that tomorrow. We all need to do this.
I'm on a Do Not Call List. I told the person on the phone. He told me that it only applies to telemarketers and solicitors and his organization wan't one. I asked what his organization was and he couldn't answer. He said they weren't selling a product. Yet he was selling a free evaluation to try to get me to buy his product. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck. I asked to speak with a supervisor. He told me his supervisor was busy. I asked to speak to someone in charge. He again said his supervisor was busy. I asked for the name of his company and he said the Energy Awareness Organization. I told him I wanted my phone number removed from his list of numbers. He hung up on me.
I have been called by these guys at least 15 times in the past 4 weeks. These guys are selling solar hot water heaters. Their game is to "measure" your hot water heater, and then give the "hard sell" pitch on how solar hot water heaters will save you money, and by financing a $10,000 purchase your savings in electric bills will offset the monthly cost. Of course there is no opportunity to "think about it", and the offer is only good for today, and they don't give out references....pure scam if you ask me.
I looked up the telco provider for all the different CallerIDs they come in on. They all are provided by "OmniPoint Miami E License, LLC" registered in Bellview WA.
Please complain to this company...maybe they can put a stop to it, or at least make it difficult...I plan to complain to the FCC as well.
