I am having the same problem as everyone else. I pushed #1 and asked to be removed and they guy tried to sell to me. He wouldn't tell me who owns the company although he did tell me the name of the company. This is a daily phone call that I don't want and I hope some organization somewhere can shut them off
I keep getting call from "Energy Awareness Org" ....
I have "press 5 " to be removed from the list
I told them I was a renter
I told them my energy bill was less than $100
All the above does not stop them
I asked them where this $3700 credit is coming from Federal, State, City, County .....she said ALL of them .....
Just got off the phone with the lovely people who were going to get me $3,700, too and I am also on the Do Not Call List. I hit #1 to opt out and decided to go along with the call. I didn't like the tone of the call to begin with. The background noise alone indicated that it wasn't even close to being a legitmate business. I was trying to lure them in, but my townhome apparently won't cut it.
There has been an increase in the number of burglaries and robberies in the area. Has anyone else noticed this in their area? I hope this isn't more sinister than a hard sell for a hot water heater.

Same thing here. After 5 calls in the last 5 days, I finally decided to stay on the line to ask for my number to be removed from their list. I am also on the DO NOT CALL registry. THESE PEOPLE ARE OBNOXIOUS! I thought there was a LAW against these organizations....who else can we contact to get these people off our backs?
Same here but the number comes up as (813) 317-1051. They call incessantly, get argumentative when you ask them to stop calling, say that they do not have to because they are a service organization and will not give out their address for "legal reasons". Even as you ask them to stop calling, they ask if you have had an energy appraisal done of your home. One woman cursed at me. They are un-believable! I will call the Florida Attorney General tomorrow to see what can be done.
