This stupid number has called me 6 times this morning and its in spanish, when I call the customer service line for the LA DPSS office its all aitomated and they dont let you talk to a live person.
This is a legitimate call from the LADPSS. It is an automated reminder line. It is not a scam but may cover a plethora of social services departments and not just CalFresh so I would check into any aid if I got a call from this number (as I just have and my aid is up for renewal so I am thankful for the call)
Except if you call that number it simply recites "Los Angeles County Department of Public Services" and then hangs up. Wonder what that's all about. More likely that not it's some sort of scam.
