This stupid number has called me 6 times this morning and its in spanish, when I call the customer service line for the LA DPSS office its all aitomated and they dont let you talk to a live person.
It is not legitimate. The person that posted the message above this is probably part of the scam. I don't even live in Los Angeles and never have, so it makes absolute zero sense why I would receive this phone call. I've never been on social services and do not even qualify for social services. Do not give them your personal information.
This absolutely IS a scam #. I double-checked with DPSS and they told me exactly when they made their last recorded phone call to me - NOT TODAY - and that the msg was completely opposite the msg I got today! And because I just completed a SAR for someone I had access the to exact status of the report - and it proved inconclusively that 323-307-5908 IS A SCAM CALL. I have add'l info about how dpss's legit calls come thru (but I won't say 'cause I don't want scam callers to have that info.... P.S. I got 3 calls over the past 2 wks fr this # - two in foreign languages where the only "English words" I could make out was "SAR 7" (LOL!)
