Called suggesting that my computer was sending error messages to their systems, and that they could help with the malware removal. The one calling was an Indian, not Native American. after calling them out for being the umpteenth time they’ve called, advising them to remove me form their list, the person calling said "you Mother^)&_(r, We will keep calling you F^%&ing Mother&^(er, it’s not going to stop we will call and call again you F^%&ing Mother&^(er. At which point the conversation ended after threating to file a class action lawsuit against their business and report with the FTC.
I used to get several calls a week from this number but never answered until about a month ago. I usually don't answer the phone at all, and let my answering machine do it's thing. They never leave messages so I never knew what they were calling about. I had looked the number up here and read all the posts about the calls other people had been getting so I decided to answer once, just to have some fun with them. The next time they called I answered and said "San Francisco Police Department", and then apologized because I work 12 hour shifts and it's a habit to answer like that at work. They hung up without saying a word. I made a note of the date so I would remember to check my call log later. That was a month ago and I just looked for their phone number in my call log and it's not there after the day I answered. They have not called back. So when they call just answer the call and says something like I did and they will remove your number from their call list.
I just got a call from 323-489-7475 too and the guy wanted to "fix my computer" I am not a moron so I asked why he wanted to fix it, and what the phone number to his office or address of the microsoft location was and he kept telling me he was in New Jersey but was new and didn't know the address. The guy had a THICK middleastern accent, spoke VERY slowly then got aggrivated and said not to waste his time and kept telling me over and over he was in New Jersey and I should hang up the call and not waste his time by asking him why he would have any interest at all in fixing my computer and wouldn't even attempt to make up an answer as to what was wrong with it. Then he told me he wanted to F**k me! SO DISTURBING!!!!
I assume they wanted to either gain remote access or gain personal info. CREEPY!
I have had several calls from this number and nobody ever says anything. when I call it back I get a recording saying I have won a $100.00 gift certificate to Target or Wal-Mart, and to just push 1 to collect. [***] SCAMMERS!!!
