I answered this one. A robot tells you its the last day to lower your credit card interest rate. I then pressed one to speak to a representative. He didn't know my name. He said he represented capitol one, chase, and some other companies. I asked him to take me off his call list. He tried to explain that he worked for my credit card company. I asked him what account number he had on file that qualified for a lower rate. He said my visa. I don't have a Visa. I requested a second time to be put on a do not call list. He called me a stupid guy and hung up. I'm guessing its a phishing scam to get social security numbers and mothers maiden names so they can open up cards under your name. Do not give them anything.
I answered this call to tell them to stop calling me. At first it was a recording then I was connected to a person who proceeded to ask me out. Creepy! Don't answer.
My Safelink phone rang, picked up, and heard the automated voice say" Hello, this is about your credit card debt-" and hung up. I get few minutes each month and I really can't stand using my minutes on &$$holes like these people.
Got a call saying I was eligible for a lower interest rate on my credit card. I pressed one to speak with someone and asked them to please take me off their calling list. The lady said ok, hold on one minute and then just hung up on me. I've asked them to remove me in the past, but it looks like they will not.
