I recorded the caller one time.  Now when they call I play it to them and they hang up.  They quit calling for two months and today I got it again.  When they hear themselves it so funny.  Total scam and I don't know how they haven't been stopped yet.  Ridiculous.

Yes.  Mostly the elderly fall for it.  It creates quite a mess with their privacy.  It's really sad.

Got a call from 347-098-4242.  The guy couldn't pronounce his w's too well.  It was kind of like a mix between German and Indian.  It sounded dodgy as eff.  He said for me to go into my control panel by hitting the Windows-R and then running "Eventvwr" Which was "Event Viewer".  Then he wanted me to log into help4pc.us  Well, he said the us stands for United States which an obvious falsehood.  I'd like to know what the rest of the scam was, but not by the hard way.
I highly doubt Microsoft cares enough to randomly call people to fix their problems.
