Foriegn male voice called my home number saying he got an error message and needed me to log onto my computer so he could show me what was wrong with the computer. I wasn't having any problems with my computer I told him I couldn't go online right now. I couldn't understand him real well because of his accent. I told him to give me a number to call him back.
He gave me: 347 289 3772 I called that number back from a different line and that number is out of order!

Same story as the others.  I got the "supervisor" Steven because I could not understand the foreign accent.  Told me my computer had sent many error reports and was running slow and they needed to fix it. Said it was about to crash. Luckily I was not in my workshop and not near the computer or I would have fell for it.  After checking with many other "computer" friends they warned me that this did not sound right.

My retirement age father has been receiving request to log into his computer to fix a problem.  He claimed to be from Microsoft.  He called back several times over the course of 10 days with my father delaying him each time.  We asked him to provide a name and phone number and he said his name was James Sparkel from Microsoft phone number 347-289-3770.  After reading the above posts, this appears to be a phishing scam for access to your computer so he may find sensitive information.

Definitly a scam
Same thing!!  He even had my last name.  I know he got this from my phone company becuase I asked them to leave my first name out and he could not verify my first name.  It is definitly a scam.  They asked right out to get on my computer and fix my computer problems.   I told him that I had no computer problems.  They said that they were from microsoft and that they could lose their jobs if they did anything else on my computer other than fix it.  I felt very uncomfortable at this point. They wanted me to type my personal information in and then as I did that(because they are getting better with their own words) he than said that I would have to pay for their services after the fix.  At that point I told him to stop wasting my time and I knew at that instance that it was a scam.  Thank God he said I was going to have to pay him because I was unaware of them getting on my computer to steal personal information.  WOW.  Thank God HE is watching over us and I am such a careful person with my money.

Same as above.  His name: Frank, from support on click.  I was working on computer but not connected on internet, and I have been experiencing problems.  I believed him at first.  But when he started being pushy made me realize the possibility of a scam.  Got his number, told him I will call him when connected.  He said to call between 12:30 pm and 8:30 pm. Told me his number was from NYC. Decided to google it, and found all of you.  Thanks,
