I got a call, too, from a Robert Johnson.  Wow .. what a mouth on this guy!  Such VULGAR language it was unbelievable!

My daughter called me in a panic last week.  An "Andy Brown" (obviously not his real name) had called her and told her that I had defaulted on a $300 payday loan, and as a reference, she was now responsible.  Such BS!  I called the number and the guy (middle eastern accent as everyone else has noted) gave a different name, but it was clearly the same guy.  He rattled off a bank account # (which I no longer have, closed it after it got hacked) and my place of employment (have not worked there in 2+ years).  I told him to send me proof of the debt and he hung up on me.  No calls since then.  I am almost tempted to call him back and tell him that it's all over the internet that this is a scam, and it's time for him to get a real job!

these people relentlessly called me and when i was working called me at work.  if you hang u not 10 seconds later they start in again.

Joseph Anderson called my work today. They've called my desk phone a few times, under different names.  Today it was left in a voicemail, as I no longer answer unrecognized numbers.

Joseph claims he is coming to arrest me right now at my work if I don't call him back right now and pay him money that I owe him. I don't owe anything except student loans, which are debited from my account monthly. My bankruptcy discharged in August 2009, and have lived on cash only for two years. Thus, I know this is a scam.

I keep reading that this is for a payday loan. I don't have any of those either.

Please don't waste your time answering an unknown/unidentified number, and for sure don't return the call. It will just aggravate you. They've been calling for over a year...hey guess what? I'm not in jail, and they haven't taken any money. They can't cuz it's a scam...

I have been getting calls multiple times a day, every day for the last 2 weeks from a man with such a heavy accent that he couldnt figure out how to say my name. They tried this on me about 6 months ago as well, but I told them that they had the wrong social security # so he hung up on me. They had all of my other information, which scares me!

This time I made him fax over paperwork and the paper work looked like something I could make on my own Excel at home, also the email was a GMAIL account ([email protected]). When I called and emailed asking for his company information he refused and continued to ask me if I wanted to hear all of his co-workers in the background. I told him that didn't prove anything, so he hung up.

The man I spoke to was named "John Hudson" and he claimed it was an unpaid USA Cash Payday loan, plaintiff was Jackie Wilcox, and I owed them $788.
